Meet Lady Lavinia
 
Lady Lavinia was designed as a lovely six-hour dollmaking class for both beginning and advanced students. Her construction and costuming techniques are intentionally kept approachable, allowing newer students to build confidence while giving experienced dollmakers plenty of opportunity to add their own artistic touches.
 
Lavinia is dressed in an elegant Edwardian-inspired gown, with a beautifully fitted waist, full skirt, and a wonderfully dramatic hat and hairstyle to complete her look.
 
But every doll deserves a little story...
Lady Lavinia has just received a letter from a dear friend. The news it carries has saddened her, and she pauses in the garden with the letter still in hand and a tiny handkerchief nearby.
 
Throughout the class, we will concentrate on creating a graceful finished doll without making the techniques unnecessarily complicated. My goal is for you to enjoy the process, learn a few new tricks, and finish the day with a beautiful Edwardian lady of your own.
 
Simple techniques. Beautiful details. A little storytelling. And six hours of dollmaking fun.
